Kim McDaniel, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker | EMDR, Brainspotting & Somatic Therapy

Kim McDaniel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Tennessee, Memphis (1999). For more than 25 years, she has helped individuals, couples, and families create lasting change. Guided by her belief that growth begins with a single seed—and therapy can be the cultivating ground where it takes root, Kim blends compassion with evidence-based care to nurture a safe, steady space where clients can heal, discover their strengths, and move toward meaningful goals.

Kim specializes in trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and relationship health. In session, she often uses EMDR and Brainspotting to help the brain and body safely process unresolved experiences. With somatic and other body-based approaches, she brings gentle awareness to how stress and emotion live in the body, teaching practical ways to release tension and restore balance. Through parts work (IFS-inspired), Kim helps clients connect with and understand different “parts” of themselves, building self-compassion and integration. She also incorporates art and other creative/experiential therapies when words aren’t enough, giving clients new ways to explore and express their stories. Everything is grounded in a trauma-informed framework—prioritizing safety, choice, and empowerment—and Kim may draw on clinical hypnotherapy to support relaxation, focused attention, and deeper healing when appropriate. Alongside her clinical work, she provides clinical supervision and program development, reflecting her commitment to thoughtful, high-quality care.

Kim works with adults and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, and interpersonal challenges, and welcomes collaborative work with couples and families when helpful.
